WS-1 Stakeholders meeting

The first workshop of the ISTOS project, WS-1 – Stakeholders meeting: Assess current state in Cyprus, took place on September 15, 2021. The workshop was organized online (zoom meeting) between the partners and the stakeholders.

The goal of the workshop was to collect information provided by the participating stakeholders to assess the current state in the area of structural safety of buildings and infrastructure, the disaster risk reduction (e.g. earthquakes, floods,) and the post disaster management, in Cyprus.

Local-Authority and Governmental Officials, Academics and professional bodies were invited to present the current practices of their organizations and engage in discussions regarding their role in the case of an extreme event. The output of the workshop will be utilized during Workshop 2 for the assessment of the Cyprus baseline.
